This will be my fourth year teaching second grade at Sacred Hearts School. Previously, I taught kindergarten for 11 years and second grade for 6 years at St. John Vianney Catholic School in Brookfield, Wisconsin. I have a degree in Early Childhood Education, grades Pre-K through 3rd, from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
My husband Joe and I have six adult children. Three of them are married and our oither three are engaged. We are looking forward to having grandchildren soon and ask our married children very often when that might happen! Joe and I moved to Sun Prairie almost four years ago, and we enjoy it very much. Joe’s favorite part is living out in the country, and my favorite part is living near all the shopping in Madison.
Some activities we enjoy together are spending time with our family, biking, kayaking, trivia, and camping. Our goal is to visit every state in the contiguous United States with our trailer. We also enjoy ballroom dancing and take weekly classes with a great group of friends.
Teaching at Sacred Hearts is a blessing. I am surrounded by wonderful students, families, and colleagues. The opportunity to share my faith with the students is one I value highly. It is an honor to prepare the children for First Reconciliation and First Communion as well.
I am looking forward to another great year of learning and fun in second grade.
