This year, I begin my 3rd year as the Grade 5 Math, Science and Religion teacher. For the 10 years prior, I was an aide in preschool, here at Sacred Hearts. I loved being in the classroom so much that I returned to school and earned my Teaching certificate from Concordia University- WI in 2020. Before joining the staff here, I was a stay-at-home mom and SHJMS parent to our 3 children. I attended Catholic school, grades 1-6, along with my 7 siblings. My parents viewed Catholic education as a gift, and so do we! I was a medical social worker in WI and NJ before our children were born.
Outside of school, I enjoy kayaking, biking, hiking, gardening, reading and learning about other faiths. I am a big fan of monarch butterflies, Ball jars and Anne of Green Gables. My husband, Eric, and I will celebrate our 31st anniversary this year.
It is such a blessing to integrate faith into the other academic classes! Our children left Sacred Hearts firm in their faith and well prepared for high school. I greatly valued this as a parent, and now feel privileged to share it with students as their teacher. I look forward to working with this very supportive, dedicated and caring staff.
