I began teaching Grade 5 Math, Science and Religion in 2020. For the 10 years prior, I was an aide in preschool here at Sacred Hearts. I loved being in the classroom so much that I returned to school and earned my teaching certificate from Concordia University, WI in 2020.
Before joining the staff here, I was a Social Worker then a stay-at-home mom, and SHJMS parent to our three children. I attended Catholic school, grades 1-6, along with my seven siblings. My parents viewed Catholic education as a gift and so do we!
Outside of school, I enjoy hiking, biking, kayaking, gardening, reading and learning about other faiths. I am a big fan of monarch butterflies, Ball jars and Anne of Green Gables. My husband, Eric, and I will celebrate our 33rd anniversary this year!
It is such a blessing to integrate faith into the other academic classes! Our children left Sacred Hearts School firm in their faith and well-prepared for high school. I greatly valued this as a parents and now feel privileged to share it with students as their teacher. I look forward to another year working with this very supportive, dedicated and caring staff.
