This will be my 23rd year working at Sacred Hearts School: ten years as a second grade teacher, 11 years as the library/computer teacher, last year I was a fifth grade teacher and this year, I’ll be back working as the library/computer teacher.
I grew up in Madison and went to St. Patrick’s Elementary School (yes, I’m that old). I then went to Madison East High School. I was a free spirit in college. I took classes and traveled in the summer. I sometimes had to be a part time student so that I could afford school and my travels. After 10 years, 3 different universities, and many adventures, I decided that it was time for me to grow up and graduated from East Texas State University in elementary education. I then moved back to the Madison area and received my teaching license at UW Whitewater.
I have two children, Austin and Megan. Austin is a college graduate who went through the ROTC program and is headed to Alabama to learn to fly Blackhawks. Megan in a sophomore in college and has a little of her mother’s free spirit in her.
In my free time I love spending time with family and friends, reading, biking, traveling and doing crazy things like parachuting out of planes. I feel blessed to be working at Sacred Hearts School where I work with great people who are dedicated to providing a quality education and share a strong community of faith.
